Wayv Sheffield Office at Hunter’s Bar

The Wayv Sheffield office at Hunter’s Bar is the dedicated base for the company’s WayvCare team. From the former Yorkshire Bank building, the team provides customer support for small and medium-sized businesses across the UK.

Why did Wayv open a Sheffield office at Hunter’s Bar?

Wayv moved its growing support team to Hunter’s Bar roundabout in 2023 after two consecutive years in which new-customer growth exceeded 75% compared with the previous year. The move created more room for the team and placed Wayv in one of Sheffield’s best-known neighbourhoods.

Managing Director Liam Parnell said the distinctive building had stood empty for several years, despite being widely recognised by people across the city. Its location also offered employees easy access to local cafés, restaurants and green spaces.

A well-connected location in Sheffield

Hunter’s Bar brings together independent businesses, a lively community and nearby green spaces, including Endcliffe Park and Sheffield Botanical Gardens. Liam said the location would appeal to employees and help Wayv continue to attract talented people.

A dedicated home for WayvCare

The three-storey building was renovated to create an open-plan workplace for the WayvCare team. The former bank vault below the office was also adapted to house servers used for Wayv’s secure communications services.

The office gives colleagues a dedicated base from which to help customers, solve service issues and support the reliable day-to-day operation of business communications.

Supporting UK SMEs with reliable communications

Wayv attributed much of its growth to its all-inclusive telecoms and broadband service for small and medium-sized enterprises. At the time of the move, WayvCare support had helped the company achieve a 4.9 out of 5 rating on Trustpilot.

Liam explained that modern organisations depend on their internet and telecommunications. When those services are unavailable, work can quickly be disrupted. Wayv therefore focuses on clear terms, dependable support and practical services that reduce risk for SMEs.

Building on Wayv’s environmental commitments

In 2022, Wayv achieved Carbon Neutral status from Carbon Neutral Britain. Its Carbon Neutral Service was designed to offset customer usage and give organisations a straightforward way to reduce the impact of their business communications.

What does the Hunter’s Bar office mean for Wayv customers?

In short, the Sheffield office gives WayvCare a dedicated home and creates space for its support team to grow. It also strengthens Wayv’s ability to provide responsive telecoms and broadband support to SMEs throughout the UK.
