Spire Estates Ltd trading as Hunters Chesterfield is one of 150 franchises across the UK that form the Hunters network. Covering the market town as well as the outskirts of Sheffield toward Derbyshire, when Hunters Chesterfield were looking for a new phone and broadband provider, they opted to partner with Wayv, a local business.
Around three and a half years ago, Hunters Chesterfield were in the process of moving to more modern premises, which happened to coincide with the end of their current phone and broadband contract. Having suffered from unjust bill inflation and unexpected costs, Director and Branch Manager, Mat Barnes, was keen to explore their options thoroughly before taking up a new contract.
Hunters Chesterfield are a practice who rely heavily on their phone lines, which are their preferred method of communication for the office. As a people-to-people business, speaking over the phone as opposed to digitally allows the agents to get to know people better, letting their personality and caring business nature shine through.
They met with a number of providers, and ended up with a couple of comparable options to choose from, however Mat felt that Wayv, as a local firm who “ticked all the boxes” were the right fit for the company. With a slight delay to the office move as compared to the new contract, the first installation by Wayv was undertaken at their previous office and included the swap from traditional phone lines to a VoIP system. Subsequently, our team re-installed the systems at the new offices, installing a new comms cupboard, and ensuring full functionality.
When asked about the experience with Wayv so far, Mat commented:
“It’s been over three years, and in that time, we’ve only had one outage of about thirty minutes due to an LG server going down – apart from that, it’s been spot on! If we’ve needed a bit of tech support, [the support team] are on the end of the phone almost instantly. When we switched over, it was literally on and off and we had no downtime at all – so far, it’s been great, and we’re very happy customers.”
Supporting SME’s is exclusively what we do at Wayv, which we also do by partnering with local suppliers were possible. We pride ourselves on our friendly, responsive approach – and it’s refreshing to hear the very same fed back to us. As Mat said: “you can’t beat dealing with someone from Yorkshire”.
